They are in search of a lateral Corporate M&A Partner to join their thriving practice. Base salary is up to $400k plus origination and discretionary bonuses. Geared to be a hybrid position, you should be commutable to the West LA business district. This is a full-time, direct hire role with a great opportunity for growth within the firm.

 

Who We’re Looking For

Are you a partner-level corporate attorney with an established client base and a passion for leading high-level transactions? In this role, you’ll serve as lead counsel on complex M&A deals, advise clients from initial term sheet through closing, and shape the structure and strategy behind every agreement. You’ll work closely with experienced peers and entrepreneurial leadership in a culture that values autonomy, creativity, and client service. What To Expect as a Corporate M&A Partner

  • Lead and manage complex M&A transactions from inception to closing, including stock and asset purchases, private equity investments, and business combinations
  • Draft and negotiate key agreements, including purchase agreements, ancillary acquisition documents, LLC and stockholder agreements, governance materials, NDAs, and employment contracts
  • Manage deals from start to finish while maintaining direct client contact throughout
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth execution and timely closings
  • Provide strategic legal and business advice across a variety of industries
  • Grow and maintain client relationships while contributing to firm-wide business development

 

Qualifications For Success

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar
  • 10+ years of hands-on Mergers and Acquisitions transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead deal teams and serve as lead counsel on transactions
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a client-service mindset
  • Collegial, team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A portable book of business of at least $500,000 is strongly preferred
