Reston, VA Attorney Labor & Employment

We are seeking a highly motivated associate to join our Employment and Labor practice group in our Reston, Virginia or Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of broad experience in employment counseling, with a focus on statutory and regulatory compliance, executive employment and separation agreements, and employment aspects of M&A transactions. Some litigation experience is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters, including statutory and regulatory compliance and executive agreements.
  • Advise on employment-related issues in M&A transactions.
  • Support the team in day-to-day client matters and offer practical solutions for complex employment issues.
  • Assist with some employment litigation matters as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in employment counseling, particularly in compliance, executive agreements, and M&A transactions.
  • Some litigation experience is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be admitted to the Virginia or DC Bar.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual pay range: $260,000 – $365,000 (dependent on experience and location).
