About the Role

A leading plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to advocate for employee rights in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, a passion for representing plaintiffs, and the ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
  • Negotiate settlements and provide strategic legal advice to clients
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop effective case strategies
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations

 

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in both California
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law, preferably on the plaintiff side
  • Strong litigation skills, including experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to advocating for employee rights
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
