Our Client

Our client, a fast-growing Florida litigation firm, is seeking an Immigration Attorney to help jumpstart their Immigration practice group at their Fort Lauderdale, FL location. Salary is in the $80-120k range, depending on experience. This is a fully onsite role, so candidates must be commutable to the Fort Lauderdale area. It is a full-time, direct hire opportunity, perfect for a mission-driven attorney who is passionate about immigration law and ready to make an impact on behalf of vulnerable and underserved communities.

 

Who We’re Looking For

Are you a dedicated immigration attorney looking for a hands-on, high-impact role? This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in immigration law, courtroom advocacy, and client-focused service. You’ll handle a full range of immigration matters, including asylum, removal defense, family-based petitions, and USCIS representation. If you’re a licensed Florida attorney with at least three years of experience, excellent legal writing skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-volume caseloads, this role could be an excellent fit for you!

 

What To Expect as an Immigration Attorney

  • Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, and other relevant federal agencies
  • Handle family-based immigration, asylum, consular processing, removal defense, and humanitarian petitions (e.g., VAWA, U visas, T visas)
  • Prepare, review, and file a variety of immigration applications, motions, and legal briefs
  • Attend interviews, court hearings, and agency proceedings on behalf of clients
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and keep them informed throughout each case
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working closely with diverse populations

 

Qualifications For Success

  • J.D. from ABA-approved law school
  • An active license to practice law in the state of Florida is  required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing immigration law
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and government agencies
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
  • Able to handle high-volume caseloads with accuracy, efficiency, and compassion
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred

 

Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000
