Palo Alto, CA Attorney Labor & Employment

The Labor team in the Palo Alto office is seeking outstanding lateral candidates with expertise in labor and employment law. The team is hiring for both Counsel and Senior Attorney roles. Candidates seeking relocation are welcome to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on a range of labor and employment matters, including U.S. and international transactions, executive and management-level employment issues, and reductions in force.
  • Draft and negotiate offer letters, wage theft notices, background checks, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.
  • Provide counsel on noncompetition agreements and other restrictive covenants.
  • Handle employment-related demand letters, settlement agreements, and internal investigations, often involving sensitive matters such as harassment, discrimination, and whistleblowing.
  • Advise on employee handbooks, policies, and labor unions/collective bargaining agreements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law, with a focus on executive/management-level issues, reductions in force, and union matters.
  • Strong academic credentials and significant law firm experience.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and advise clients on complex legal issues.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary expected to range between $390,000 and $465,000 annually, with actual salary determined based on experience and other relevant factors.
