A well-regarded intellectual property law firm is seeking junior-level associates to join its growing Mechanical Litigation and PTAB teams in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes patent disputes involving mechanical technologies across a variety of industries.

Ideal candidates will bring litigation or PTAB experience, strong technical backgrounds, and a desire to build a long-term career in IP law.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in patent litigation or inter partes review (IPR) before the PTAB
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• USPTO registration number required
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical and legal issues

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in patent litigation matters and IPR proceedings
• Analyze patents and prior art for litigation and PTAB strategies
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and expert reports
• Support discovery efforts and deposition preparation
• Collaborate with technical and legal teams to develop case strategies
