Key responsibilities include:

  • Represent clients in all workers’ compensation litigation stages, including initial investigations, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic defense plans to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes in workers’ compensation cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze and interpret complex medical and legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate settlements and effectively advocate for clients’ interests.
  • Stay updated on changes in workers’ compensation laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to case strategy.
  • Participate in continuing legal education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance legal expertise.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 2+ years in Workers’ Compensation Defense.
  • Knowledge of California workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
