Boston, MA Professional Development Manager Admin

A leading law firm is seeking a Manager of Professional Development to oversee legal training programs, summer associate training, and CLE programs. This role is a key part of the Attorney Development team, working closely with firm leadership to identify and implement professional development initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage legal training content, including summer associate and CLE programs.
  • Work with firm leaders to assess professional development needs and design training solutions.
  • Maintain CLE accreditation, oversee CLE credit issuance, and ensure compliance with state requirements.
  • Manage content for the Learning Management System and Professional Development intranet.
  • Mentor and coach Professional Development Specialists and Coordinators.
  • Regularly travel to firm offices to enhance professional development efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional development experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
