Employment Litigation Attorney – Wage & Hour Class Actions

An established California employment litigation practice is seeking an attorney with at least two years of employment litigation experience, including a strong emphasis on wage and hour class actions. This hybrid opportunity is based in El Segundo and offers the ability to work remotely up to two days per week after an initial onboarding period.

The practice is focused primarily on wage and hour class action litigation, with additional work involving individual employment matters. Attorneys manage an active caseload while working closely with experienced litigators in a collaborative team environment.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent clients in California state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
  • Draft complaints, mediation briefs, motions, and class action settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
  • Take and defend depositions and appear regularly in court.
  • Advise clients on employment-related matters, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, employee classification, benefits, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Conduct internal investigations and assist with employment policies and procedures.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, separation agreements, and related employment documents.
  • Work independently while collaborating with partners on litigation strategy and case resolution, and provide mentorship to junior attorneys when appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of employment litigation experience with wage and hour class action experience preferred.
  • Comfortable litigating in both California state and federal courts.
  • Experience handling court appearances, depositions, legal writing, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Strong advocacy, organizational, and case management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage an active caseload while providing high-level support to partners.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $120,000–$200,000, depending on experience.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $200,000
