Position Overview

A growing management-side employment practice is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. This role offers meaningful litigation experience, early responsibility, and direct involvement in case strategy and client interaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and restrictive covenant issues
  • Manage and respond to discovery and oversee the discovery strategy
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Support depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties

 

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar admission
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, ideally in labor and employment
  • Strong academic credentials and writing ability
  • Ability to independently manage discovery tasks
  • Team-oriented and proactive approach

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $205,000 to $240,000
  • Bonus structure with thresholds at 1920 and 2100 hours
